Being diagnosed with lupus at a young age, I decided to not give up and keep pushing. On all my dreams and goals, I decided that I wanted to survive and thrive. Going through two kidney failures and having other complications has taught me to love myself better and even more. When I decided to live and love myself first, I was able to have two beautiful daughters and get my associate degree as well. See God has placed obstacles in my life that he knew I could get through and it would make me a stronger person. Hospital stays and biopsies and more done on my body, different chemotherapy treatments and I decided not to give up. Now, I am living for my children because I was blessed to have them. I will push through and climb mountains to survive. I will always persevere.

Permission to fly is a representation of noticing people who are strong and had the ability to push through anything in their life. So on June 10th, I will be at the Dare to F.L.Y Empowerment Conference. I am proud to say I will be accepting the Persevilient Award, and I am so grateful that Permission to Fly noticed me enough to feel I deserved this award. This is an honor and I will be honored as well to be there and accept this award. .
